Amanda Taarup Betz has since her graduation from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2005 intertwined her works in the intensive fields of art, architecture, and design, which has resulted in exhibits at various galleries and museums. For the exhibition "FOLD," Amanda created a number of folded and pleated items. Le Klint was so impressed with Amanda's creativity that it was a delight to have her re-work one of her art pieces into the Cassiopeia lamp. After some experimenting, Amanda succeeded in creating a first in Le Klint's history. A combination of pleats and folding with central octagons and small perforations on the surface, allowing rays of light to radiate from the lamp resulting in a beautiful light display in any space. Most definitely, an artistic approach to a perfect design.
